Tiger's eye owes its shimmering "cat's eye" effect to parallel fibrous bands catching the light. This deep red version is produced by gently heat-treating the natural golden-brown stone, a long-standing, widely accepted practice in the gem trade, deepening its traditional reputation as a stone of confidence, strength and protection.
