Dalmatian jasper is carried as a loyal, steadying companion, believed to keep its wearer grounded while encouraging a lighter, more playful outlook. It inherits that protective power from the wider jasper family, worn since antiquity as a grounding stone, even though this particular spotted variety, mined in Mexico's Chihuahua region, is a more recent addition to the tradition.
